In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the Founding of the United States, the DAR is giving a Gift to the Nation by supporting the Trust for the National Mall's Cherry Tree Endowment! The DAR’s collaboration with the Trust will include supporting legacy restoration projects, civic learning opportunities, and volunteer programming throughout this important anniversary and beyond. DAR is committed to preserving the history of the National Mall as a symbol of our nation’s ideals and civic purpose as well as conserving the natural beauty of the cherry blossoms for future generations.
The DAR and the Trust have been longtime collaborators. In 2022, the DAR supported the restoration of the 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence Memorial in Constitution Gardens led by the Trust for the National Mall.

Located at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery, the Military Women’s Memorial is the nation’s only major national memorial to honor all women who have defended the nation. The Memorial ensures that future generations of girls and women are inspired to serve their country through military service.
The DAR has been a longtime supporter of the Memorial since it's founding and has recently hit the milestone of donating 1 million dollars to the Memorial! DAR’s most recent donations will support a state-of-the-art gallery renovation at the Military Women’s Memorial. DAR will be recognized as the sponsor of the future Defending a New Nation Gallery which will explore women’s service in and with the Armed Forces from our nation’s founding through the end of the 19th century.
Learn about DAR's collaboration with American Battlefield Trust, the nation's leading heritage land preservation organization! DAR is working with the Trust on two very important projects, the American Revolution Experience Travelling exhibition and the DAR Pathway of the Patriots in Yorktown, VA!
As a way to continue honoring Marian Anderson's legacy, DAR has been collaborating with the National Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society in Philadelphia, PA since 2021 to support the restoration of her historic home, and display some of her performance gowns in the DAR Museum.

DAR has had a relationship with the Museum of the American Revolution since it's opening in 2017! We are proud to have collaborated on such initiatives as the Museum's Living History Youth Summit, a restored painting that hangs in the Museum's foyer, and the Museum's Patriots of Color Archive.
