The DAR has a full-time opportunity in our DAR Store for a Sales Representative.  Our DAR Store sells DAR clothing, novelties, gifts and more across multiple sales channels. 

Job Duties:

  • Be the first interaction with patrons as they visit the store and complete their sales transactions.
  • Use knowledge of store merchandise to assist with questions and finding needed items or upsell.
  • Process and ship orders made via mail, fax, and phone, and also orders that are purchased in store but need to be shipped.
  • Keep store shelves stocked and assist with merchandise display set-up.
  • Provides assistance with processing incoming merchandise and in-store inventory counts.
  • Back-up other store positions as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of at least a year providing high level customer service, preferably in a retail environment (i.e., e-commerce or in a brick-and-mortar store).
  • Ability to learn software applications and effectively apply knowledge. Past experience operating and maintaining store computer systems (POS cash registers, shipping software, etc.) is desired.  
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to ensure the sales process is free of errors.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Must be able to lift and move merchandise, tables, display carts, boxes of various weights and perform other physical tasks related to daily store functions and set-up of merchandising.

The DAR Store will experience a high volume of customers during Board Meetings throughout the year and especially during our annual convention in June. Employees in the Store will be required to be available during those time frames.

Benefits:

  • Hiring annual salary range is $41,000 to $47,000, with the final determination based upon the candidate’s overall experience.
