DAR Headquarters will be closed July 4-5, for the Independence Day Holiday. DAR Headquarters will be open on Saturday, July 6.

Marian Anderson’s life story will always be intertwined with the DAR. Our National Society will forever be at the forefront of celebrating the impactful role that Ms. Anderson had in our nation’s history. The Marian Anderson Legacy Fund will support efforts to honor her memory and promote her legacy through projects, programs, and other initiatives, such as the Marian Anderson Legacy Scholarship.

A one-time gift of $200 to the Marian Anderson Legacy Fund qualifies you to purchase this pin. Proceeds from fund support initiatives aimed at celebrating the remarkable life of Marian Anderson.

Marian Anderson Legacy Scholarship

The Marian Anderson Legacy Scholarship shall award $5,000 to one student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate study in music with a concentration in performance, composition, theory, or education. In recognition of the city Marian Anderson called home, preference will be given to students from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania metropolitan area.
