The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a non-profit women’s membership organization located in Washington DC, has a full-time opportunity in our DAR Store for an Order Processing Representative.  Our DAR Store sells DAR clothing, novelties, gifts and more across multiple sales channels. 

Job Duties:

  • Accepts, processes, and fulfills orders from online sales portal.
  • Packages and ships orders using our mailing system and methods.
  • Provides courteous, professional, and knowledgeable service to patrons.
  • Monitors inventory to ensure products are available for purchase and assists with store-wide inventory counts.
  • Provides assistance with processing incoming merchandise.
  • Back-ups mail room personnel when needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of at least a year providing high level customer service, preferably in retail environment (e-commerce or in a brick and mortar store).
  • Experience operating and maintaining store computer systems (POS cash registers, shipping software, etc.).
  • A keen attention to detail to ensure all steps in sales process are free from errors.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Must be able to lift and move merchandise, tables, display carts, boxes of various weights and perform other physical tasks related to daily store functions and set-up of merchandising.

The DAR Store will experience a high volume of customers during Board Meetings throughout the year and especially during our annual convention in June.  Employees in the Store will be required to be available during those time frames.

Benefits:

  • Hiring annual salary range is $41,000 to $47,000 , with the final determination based upon the candidate’s overall experience.
