DAR Headquarters will be closed July 4-5, for the Independence Day Holiday. DAR Headquarters will be open on Saturday, July 6.

Rugs from the 19th century are harder to find than later ones, and this is a splendid one. The design of flowers spreading from a footed vase is similar to what we often see in quilts and other decorative arts. The condition and color are excellent. We have a few hooked rugs, but not many, and would like to expand our collection to include more designs and techniques. This is also part of our effort to collect textiles beyond our excellent quilt and sampler/pictorial needlework collections to more completely reflect the range of textiles used in the home.
